Google confirms that “nofollow” presents no issue with affiliate- and price comparison sites

John Mueller confirmed in today’s Google Webmaster hangout one of my questions, which frequently is spread as FUD by “SEO experts”:

Our website syndicates our products to 3rd party websites (affiliates, price comparison, deal sites) which link back to our products pages with a rel=”nofollow”. Is this problematic?

It is still fascinating (and frightening) that many SEO professionals out there offer their services and consult clients presenting completely wrong information. In an example as above, a customer would have done the “sensible” thing and removed all his marketing on 3rd party sites.
