During a routine installation of water-supply to an adjacent stand, Johannesburg Water managed to damage the foundation of my house, our landscaping, our driveway and pavement and Telkom infrastructure. Several bylaws where violated and to date Johannesburg Water has declined to offer a settlement without imposing conditions which infringe my basic rights.
Over the next few weeks I will post details and images of what happened and how their insurer AON South Africa stone-walled my valid claims with lawyers and eventually only offered a settlement if I do not raise their conduct with the FAIS Ombud and do not publish any background about this case online.
Job-card number 700110012910 was supposed to connect the adjacent stand #174 in Broadacres Country Estate on 21st August 2015 to an already existing connection point. A supposedly simple job which took Johannesburg Water 5 months to complete and left me with unsettled...
